CordenPharma is making a bold move to expand its Peptide Platform, strengthening our position as a global leader in CDMO peptide manufacturing. A major milestone in this journey is the construction of a state-of-the-art peptide manufacturing facility in Muttenz, Switzerland – located just outside Basel, a major biotech and pharma hub.

As part of this exciting expansion, we are seeking a Senior Capex Project Manager to take full ownership of this flagship Greenfield project. This is a unique opportunity to drive the entire lifecycle of a major capital investment – from early design through construction, commissioning, and qualification – ensuring excellence in quality, compliance, cost and schedule.

Your Tasks will include:

• Lead and empower a multidisciplinary team spanning engineering, procurement, construction, CQV, and operations.
• Oversee all external partners including A/E firms, construction managers, contractors, and service providers.
• Ensure seamless integration with industrial park infrastructure, process design from our US sister project, and alignment with global CordenPharma network standards.
• Act as the single point of contact for all key decisions across business, operations, and technical stakeholders.
• Set strategic direction and cultivate a collaborative, transparent, and results-driven project culture.
• Ensure the facility is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest pharmaceutical standards.
• Develop and execute project governance, critical path strategies, and risk-based decision-making processes.
• Align engineering and design with global cGMP, FDA/EU regulatory requirements, and corporate standards.
• Foster collaboration with internal teams across Basel, Colorado, and Frankfurt.
• Mentor and coach your team, empowering excellence at every level.

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• 15–20+ years of experience in leading and delivering large-scale CAPEX projects in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries.
• Proven track record with Greenfield or Brownfield pharmaceutical manufacturing projects under stringent regulatory frameworks.
• Strong expertise in construction management, commissioning, validation, and project governance (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; German is an asset.
