Many hidden health hazards exist in occupational environments. Our Group Occupational Safety Management possess an outstanding ability to identify, evaluate, and recommend measures to handle potent compounds safe.
We are looking for reinforcement for our team on a global level. Our Group Occupational Safety Manager is the coordinator and network person at our international sites, in the field of pharmaceutical ingredients and finish products, to further harmonize and standardize our strengths and processes:
- Group Occupational Safety Management with a focus on safe handling of potent- and high potent compounds, and the coordination of continuous control and monitoring of exposure across all our operational processes.
- Safety technical and occupational expert for handling of potent and high potent compounds within the CordenPharma network for compliance with the ILO (International Labour Organization), ISPE Volume 7 “Risk-Based Manufacture of Pharmaceutical Products”, OSHA, ECHA, Reach and PSCI (Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative) standards for our sites in the EU and United States.
- Development of standards and procedures, followed by validation and monitoring strategies for handling potent and high-potent compounds together with our finished product and API sites.
- Continuous improve of the Behavior-Based Safety engagement to directly reduce incidents and strengthen a high-performing safety culture.
- Continuous optimization of the IH and OH assessments, monitoring concepts, accreditation of internal procedure and careful use of available resources.
- Presentation of our concepts and results to authorities and external / internal customers in the context of inspections and audits.
- Support of cross-functional teams within the CordenPharma network in the implementation of new and ongoing projects together with toxicologists, engineering, process- and plant safety, SHE employees, development, and production teams.
- Growing the availability of substance- and process-specific data for operation. Substance assessments, statistics, and evaluation of the safety requirements of adequate technical requirements and PPEs.
- Training, communication of Implications and further education of our managers and employees in the field of Industry Hygiene and Occupational Health.
Your Profile
- Bachelor/Master in a technical/scientific field, a technician or comparable qualification, and further education in chemistry, chemical engineering, comparable training, or Lab worker with an excellent background in Occupational Safety, OEB/OEL/PDE, Industry Hygiene (IH) or Occupational Health (OH).
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry as an Occupational Safety Manager.
- Senior Expert/Specialist with depth knowledge of U.S. OSHA, EU requirements and ISO 45.001 occupational safety management.
- Knowledge and background in analytical application is beneficial, such as experience with IH monitoring, IH reporting and auditing, process analysis, safety design, dispersion modeling and statistical evaluation.
- Experience with pharmaceutical industry as well as relevant regulations and standards of IH and OH monitoring, hazardous substances, plant- and construction safety.
- Strong personality to support the safety culture and improvement actions.
- Excellent knowledge of analytical procedure, problem-solving capabilities, and occupational safety.
- Drive to push safety culture, willingness to drive change.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
